Electricity and streaming water are deluxe articles for the Chamanna Segantini. The propane ensures the cooking activities and the freezing duties. Solar pannels provide electricity.

Until mid of July, only rain water and melt water are available. As soon as the temperature warms up, the water for the lodge will be provided from a small spring under the Piz Languard. Unfortunately, a cool night is enough to run dry the water supply.

The water is boiled and exclusively used for warm drinks, like coffee and tea, as well as for the washing up. For this reason, rainy days are not only grey days, but also a guaranty throughout the season of enough water provisioning.

By the way, the first European clime path with 15 information boards conducts through the Chamanna Segantini.
